Juan Amaya "El Pelón" was born in Seville in 1980. It was born within the Amaya family, one of the most recognized within the flamenco scene. Despite having received training from highly prestigious teachers such as Farruco, Manolo Marín or José Galván, he stands out for his self-taught learning that has allowed him to create a personal and unique style, highly praised by critics and the public. He began his professional career at the end of the nineties as part of the Andalusian Dance Company, directed by Mario Maya. As of 2000, he participates in some of the most renowned flamenco companies such as those of Israel Galván or Manuela Carrasco, having a presence in the most outstanding festivals and theaters at the national international level. Likewise, throughout his career he has occasionally collaborated with prestigious artists, such as Paco de Lucia, Farruquito and Falete. Also with Remedios Amaya, with whom she continues to collaborate today. He is a guest artist in the show "De Una Pieza" by Oiga Pericet, which has been presented with great success in important venues such as the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris, the National Theater in Dakar or the Royal Coliseum Carlos III (El Escorial, Madrid). In addition, Juan Amaya can be seen regularly scheduled in the most outstanding tablaos in Spain and abroad: Corral de la Morería, Villa Rosa or Las Carboneras in Madrid; Tablao Cordobés, El Carmen and Los Tarantos in Barcelona; and the Tablao Garlochí in Tokyo (Japan).
